The cultural narrative and systems we work within reward our adaptations, the parts of ourselves that get pulled into unconscious, habitual patterns, to be busy, to please, to be strong, to try hard and so on; we become relentlessly productive, and this can often lead to exhaustion as a way of being.
The antithesis of this is to grow and sustain leadership wisdom.
